Dr. Grace Galiza is a pediatrician at Kauai Medical Clinic/Wilcox Medical Center.  She was born and raised on Kauai and graduated from Kauai High School in 2001.   In 2014, she returned home to Kauai after completing her residency at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

Dr. Galiza has special interests in pediatric dermatology, community outreach, and medical missions.  As pediatrician, Dr. Galiza's most rewarding for Dr. Galiza as a pediatrician is watching her patients grow from the time they are born till they become adults. She understands that the newborn stage is the most rewarding yet challenging part of being a parent. Breastfeeding especially can be the most rewarding and challenging aspect for moms and babies. However, there are many resources that moms assist nursing mothers to help increase their breast milk supply. Those include staying hydrated, being kind to yourself (thus, minimizing stress), mother’s milk tea, fenugreek, and Kaimade lactation cookies. Having tasted them herself, Dr. Galiza agrees that these cookies are not only delicious, but contain all of the good things that help promote increased breast milk production including brewer’s yeast, flax seed, and oats. There is also a Breastfeeding Support Group led by a lactation consultant at Wilcox Medical Center that meets every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month from 12-130 pm.

Dr. Galiza is currently taking new patients.  To set up an appointment or if you have any questions, you may call her office at (808) 245-1561.

A big Kaimade mahalo to Dr. Galiza for her service to our community and for support our Kaimade Milk Cookies!
